Drift Frenzy – A Really Catchy Drift Car Game

When I first started Drift Frenzy, I thought it was just a normal racing game, like you'd get bored after a few laps. But after trying the first few levels, it was quite addictive because the drifting made the car's speed look very satisfying.

The game doesn't require you to win by finishing first at all costs. Sometimes, driving beautifully and drifting smoothly is more fun than being at the top. Especially on long corners, if you can keep the car stable, it feels really good.

How to play Drift Frenzy?

In the game, players control their car through roads with many corners. The main goal is to drift as smoothly as possible to score points.

It sounds simple, but it's easy to overspin the car when cornering quickly. I believed I had the turn in several places, but I ended up colliding with the barrier.

The game has a fast pace, so you have to react constantly. Just a few seconds of inattention and the car will veer off course.

Controls

The game uses fairly easy-to-remember buttons:

  • WASD or arrow keys to drive
  • Space for the parking brake
  • Shift for acceleration
  • R to reset the car

The hardest part is probably timing the parking brake pull. Too early and you'll spin sideways, too late and you'll crash.

Why is the game so simple to play for a long period

I find Drift Frenzy addictive, like old arcade games. After finishing a level, you'll often want to redo it to make the drift look better or hold the combo longer.

Also, each car feels different. Some are easy to control but not very fast, while others are faster but much harder to corner.

The game doesn't need super high-end graphics, but the wheel-sliding effects look decent. Continuous high-speed drifts look quite smooth.

In summary

If you like driving games that focus on drifting rather than pure speed racing, Drift Frenzy is worth trying. The game is easy to play at first, but to make continuous beautiful drifts, you need to get used to it after a few levels. This is the kind of game where the more you play, the more you want to take another lap to try out the better corners.
